To anyone with any honest knowledge of history, the Zionists began the mess. What people would have reacted peacefully to a mass influx of foreigners clearly intending to take their land away? When one tries to stop a thief from entering his home, it is the thief, not the defender, who is the aggressor.
You are critical of the Palestinians for refusing the partition. Can you name me one time in recorded history when one group of people agreed to take private property from many of their own people to give it to another group of people? Of course you can`t. No one would agree to such a "deal."
But that`s exactly what the "partition" proposal demanded. Why should the leaders of the Palestinian people have agreed to let others take property away from their own people? Had the show been on the other foot, Israel`s land-thieving ways certainly make it clear that the Zionists would not have given up a square inch. |
