| How about building an underground tube station outside or near the gates in the Arab sector of the Old City. This would allow controlled access into and out of Jerusalem for Muslims living in a future Palestine. Jerusalem remains united, Palestinians have access to the Mosques on the Mount, Israel is responsible for its own security, and does not rely on any other power for this. Muslims even today, control the day to day activities above ground on the Temple Mount. And most importantly, Judaism is not humiliated in having to seed sovereignty over its holiest site. Yes, the Temple Mount is the holiest site for Jews, not the Western Wall, a fact that many seem not to understand. |
