| Erekat seems to think it is fair. Pals went to war and lost more land and then more..and both Jews and Palestinians lost lives in the process too. BUT why give the jews more than 50% in 1948??? Well, 1. Much of the land was the southern desert!! 2. because 100% of the Palestinians were already here..and most Jews were still overseas. Some living freely and still wanting to fulfill their dream of living in Israel..and many suffering under regimes in the Middle East..and others still roaming the world after Europe tried to wipe them out. Room was set aside for these exiled Jews. There was NO NEED for the creation of a new status of Palestinian exiles..But it was a tragedy that Arab rejectionism brought upon them. |
