| The way this land was divided...even under the UN Partition Resolution (Resolution 181)...was flawed from the start. It was a recipe for anger/dissatisfaction...on the Palestinian side: The Jewish State was given 56.47% of the land. The Palestinian State was given 43.53% of the land. KEEP In Mind-- That when the Balfour Declaration was issued in 1917...the Palestinian Muslims & Christians were the majority...and were around 400,000 in number (UN sources). So-- Who would ever call the above partition FAIR...based on this? ADDed To This/Other Losses-- Israel can`t even see how ridiculous it is to offer them 93% of the West Bank..."today?" Israel-- Want the Palestinians to bear the penalty/corrective measure...to accommodate the settlements that ISRAEL decided to build...AGAINST international law AND decent, universally accepted principles. So-- Who`s supposed to jump for joy about this? |
