By Benjamin L. Hartman, Haaretz Correspondent: ANALYSIS / Twitter won't make Iran protesters bulletproof

one is that the protesters know more than anyone else what they face, and how far they`ll be willing to go; THIS TIME!
but you see, already the government has gone too far, and has revealed the ugliness of its true nature to more iranians than ever before.
the generation that fueled the revolution is fading fast, and roughly 75% of the population, or more, are under the age of 35(if i recall correctly)...and they`re very open to the outside world, the internet, western clothing, music, interaction, etc.
this time it not just students, but two, maybe even three generations represented.
as the old guard fades away, guess who`ll be replacing them...in ALL sectors? the memories will remain, and so will the internal drive.
so no matter WHAT comes of THIS uprising, the damage to the regime is irrepairable; it`s fate is sealed...just a matter of time.
and second, i question your assertion that hamas and hezbollah will benefit from the iranian regime`s purging of its dissenters. the palestinians and lebanese are watching the news and the blogs, too...
and what they`re witnessing is the worst possible thing as far as hamas and hezbollah are concerned. sort of a "portal" of things to come should those two ever come to power; don`t you think?
