The 4% Jews you talk about were from a total of 400,000 (1882 population when the first wave of immigrants arrived from eastern Europe).
Clearly there was plenty room for them, or the 700,000 Arabs of 1918, or the 1.5 million of 1948.
There are as many as that being Israeli Arabs today. You assumption that they had to be expelled is nonsense.
