| Between 1945 and 1950 over 50 million people were relocated, many willingly, many unwillingly. Three million Germans were kicked out of the Sudetenland. Twenty million Pakistanis and Indians crossed the newly drawn borders. Millions of Eastern Euroeans moved from ancestral homes. A million Jews left ancient homes in the Arab lands. Yet the only people who refuse to settle down and rebuild are the Palestinians. The Germans are not bombing Czech cafes. The Eastern Europeans are rebuilding. (Well, the Indians and Pakistanis are still killing each other). Tens of mllions of refugees built new lives, schools, roads, hospitals and universities. Only the Palestinians won`t accept the fact that WWII is over, and its time to rebuild. |
