| The condescending and dismissive tone of this article on the new medium with the silly name is distressing, to say the least. Of course it`s not a shield. However, it was through this medium that the world first learned of what was really going on in Iran and it took the mainstream media a day or so to catch up. It is an information and communication medium, nothing more. And nothing less. The power of the messages lie in their brevity and directness. You can`t have read the messages on the day before the blood began flowing without knowing that these people know what is happening and what can and probably will happen. "Flotsam" indeed. |
