I don`t think he would qualify to the conditions that have been in place many years. If you become a Catholic, whether conscious or not of your Jewish birth, you are no longer Jewsh by religion. If the good Father is so drawn to his family`s origins, he should convert to Orthodox Judaism, just like the Falash-Mura(spelling?) of Ethiopia, before being permitted to make Aliyah. There would be millions of people worldwide who would be eligible for Aliyah if he were to win his case.
Also, how can you stop people from attempting to convert others to their beliefs in a free society? |
