The fate of Reb Pollard is a clear indication that Dreyfus case is alive and well in "the most democratic democracy on Earth". It demonstrates that Jews, and a Jew among the nations are still treated with the same contempt as in tzar`s Russia 200 years ago and that Obama`s words of fairness and even-handedness are as full of substance as a center of a doughnut.
Oh and one last thing, Israelis. You could not save Ron Arad, at least save Pollard!!! If a once noble principle of never leaving your people behind still means anything to you, instead of quietly deporting the next american spy caught in Israel (they are caught on average once a month), throw the b@stard into the darkest cell in the Russian Compound and FedEx the key to CIA with a note that Reb Pollard is welcome to bring the key, unlock the cell, and let their spy out. |
