| This is not something that started in the border police. The meme was alive amongst Russian Cossacks in the late 1800s and in Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland up until 1945. It was transplanted to Israel in 1948 and switched languages- from German, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish- to Hebrew. When I see this video I see Amos Oz`s uncle Dovid who was murdered by Lithuanians and Nazis in Vilna in 1941. |
