Yes, they are brave to expose themselves. Yes, they deserve hats-off.
Yet they are CERTAIN about what they protest for: they know that without the fanatic system they live in, they would be better off.
Israelis don`t have that certainty. Were Israelis to protest the settlements, they would have a nagging feeling of being out-foxed. Israel withdrew from Lebanon and got hezballah; withdrew from Gaza and got Hamas. Why on earth would an Israeli protester feel sure that without settlements there wouldn`t be yet another Iranian terrorist proxy-state right next to us? |
