| Levy is suffering from "nightmare envy." In Iran, the entire newspaper would be shut down because of an article that criticized the government. He is so mesmerized by the confrontation with power that he ignores the very obvious benefits of living in a free society--one that many Iranians envy. Freedom is wasted on the free, I suppose--especially when writers like Levy wish for the romance of tear gas, truncheons and torture. |
