| Gideon Levy mentions some nations in which the people took their fate into their own hands by displacing or protesting the immoral government. In the nations he mentioned, the people did not identify with their leaders or the policies of their nations. In Israel, it is different. The Israeli left has transformed over the years into war mongering, land grabbers. They have become part of the problem and have neither the inclination nor the moral credentials to protest the actions of an immoral government. Who would have ever guessed that the leader of the Labor party would form a coalition with the most right wing elements in Israel? |
