Israel Harel: They don't want a state
Talkback
Title:The lie - and it`s quite obvious - is in the first line.

IH: "From the Palestinians`s refusal to sit down with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu even after he recognized their right to a state"

He did no such thing i.e. there was no recognition of a Palestinian RIGHT to a state.

There was a statement that if the Pals accept his preconditions then Likud would be "ready to agree" to them having a state.

Statehood was therefore portrayed as a GIFT to be bestowed upon them by a Benevolent Bibi, and not (as Harel claims) a RIGHT that is being recognized by Netanyahu.

There is a fundamental difference between the two, and that`s why the Road Map said:
"Israeli leadership issues unequivocal statement affirming its commitment to the two-state vision of an independent, viable, sovereign Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel"

Bibi`s "commitment" was in no way "unequivocal", and so Harel is simply lying.
