| The Palestinians did not respond with enthusiasm to the speech because they fuly understand that Mr. Netanyahu speaks with a forked tongue. Besides the gruding acceptance of a 2 state solution that was forced down his throught, his speech was full of preconditions and new demands. I do agree that a solution MUST be forced because neither side has the will to make the necessary compromises that are required to achieve a comprehensive peace. This peace maybe short lived, or its seed may flourish and save future generations from the suffering that became a normal part of our lives. The Palestinians have given everything they could, they played all their cards 20 years ago except for Hamas where everyone is trying to force it to show its cards. Israel changes the rules of the game after each hand. It cheats and it steals, and when it gets caught in its web of lies, it cries foul because its partners at the table may leave the game. |
