No preconditions? So -- say -- a 50/50 split of Palestine would be in the the cards?
As the piece says, it`s no preconditions imposed by the Palestinians. Netanyahu already has at least four pre-conditions. (1) Israel will withdraw no further than the 1967 ceasefire lines (howzabout the 1947 UN Partition Lines? Only ones with any semblance of legal sanction.). (2) the Palestinian state is to be demilitarized. (3) Israel is to be recognized as the world`s first state intended solely for one race. (well, first since...). (4) Jerusalem is remain undivided -- and somehow I suspect not in Palestinian hands. |
