The Palestinians already have a little semi-autonomous statelet. Their problems are it`s awash with settlers taking the land, the roads are blocked, their capital and the whole Jordan Valley illegally expropriated, they don`t even have borders and are subject to military rule.
Not ONE of Bibi`s policy points offered them any mitigation on any of these points. It may be as you say this is just Bibi setting out his negotiating agenda. Doesn`t sound like it though, this is the right wing`s siren calls all wrapped up in a neat bundle.
The military point is amusing. You MUST quash Hamas, though... err... you can`t have any forces to do it with! What a nonsense. There is Lt Gen Dayton USArmy training 10 Pal battalions, and little Bibi saying you can`t have them? The US will be amused NOT. |
