| i`ve been saying this for well over a year. but in order for it to do so, both israel and the u.s. need to withdraw any preconditions to dialogue with assad; AND... israel must return the golan... while the u.s. needs to provide assurance of military assistance. only THEN can the present "preconditions" be met by syria... and the difference IS, that assad`s prerequisites are dictated by "necessity"; while the preconditions demanded by israel and the u.s. are chosen by hardline obstinacy. |
