| Damascus is an isolated secular capital of Syria. Syria has no standing in the Arab World. Nobody in the Arab World trusts Syria. Hence, they are isolated. For Syria has a "Deep State", full of generals and intrigue, with many skeletons. Syria was kicked out of Lebanon, once considered by the Deep State as Greater Syria. Syria, nursed Hezbollah, until Iran took over. Syria is geographically distant from Iran. Syria is a dictatorship, yet with certain differences. The Alawite Dynasty continues. Iran is controlled by a Supreme Council of clergymen. Syria has no religious council. For those that have read the history books, Syria was occupied by both the British and French. Syria, is rather a target, for Iran. Without a doubt, the Deep State knows this. They do know, that Golan will never be relinquished. Mainly because they cannot be trusted, for they are weaklings in the hands of Iran. |
