it is quite obvious that iran`s actual leader, grand ayatollah khameini, intends to continue exporting the shia revolution.
he obviously does not care about world opinion. musavi, who contrary to western propaganda, is one of the founders of the islamic revolution, and a strong supporter of iran`s nuclear weapons program, would have toned down the rhetoric from iran.
however, khameini obviously wants to continue with ahmadinejad`s holocaust denying and anti-western demagoguery.
obama`s pro-muslim rhetoric has had no effect on khameini and his hard line followers. indeed, it would have been surprising if such rhetoric would have affected khameini, himself a master of rhetoric and propaganda. |
