I guess its because everyone else has terrorists in their governments. Menachem Begin was the leader of the Irgun during the Deir Yassin massacre, Yitzak Shamir was the operational leader of the Stern Gang. Ariel Sharon gave the go-ahead for the Lebanese Phalangists to massacre the civilians in Sabra and Shatila. You might want to google the Lavon Affair.
But Israel is not alone.
Gerry Adams, formerly of the IRA and Ian Paisley who ran the terrorist Ulster Defense Force shared power in the Northern Irish government. Mao Tse Tung and Ho Chi Minh led guerrilla movements that their opponents called terrorist. Nelson Mandela and the ANC were branded as terrorists. Jomo Kenyatta led the Mau Mau uprising.
And don`t forget the United States. The British and their American sympathizers undoubedly thought George Washington was a terrorist. |
