I know every government in the world seems to think it has the right to structure the government of Lebanon. Wouldn`t it be interesting if the US and the Saudis and Iranians and Israelis and Russians and Chinese and French and everybody else, just once let the Lebanese work it out for themselves.
I know, it`s a radical idea, self-determination. But the US lets Canada do it and it does seem to work. We even let the French and Brits and Israelis do it, too. Sometimes we get results we like and sometimes not. |
