This is just window-dressing.

The road map was originally accepted by Israel only as a delaying gesture. What the Israel government planned to do, and did, was halt the entire process every time there was any minor infringement whatsoever from any Pals. This is what Bibi now plans to do again. That`s why he`s only offering a temporary or partial suspension of settlement expansion. He figures that he can delay progress for the length of the temporary suspension and then it`s business as normal.

Expect the IDF to provoke or exploit trouble in Gaza soon, and then claims that Israel has no partner for peace.

"In his speech Sunday, at a bastion of Israel`s national-religious movement, Netanyahu will declare that the settlements in the West Bank are not an obstacle to peace."

That`s the most important sentence in this article, and it shows that this speech is a meaningless gesture. Presumably Obama will see that and will keep the pressure on Israel
