| As soon as a Palestinian state is declared, and recognized by the world community, it would embark, openly or furtively, on a policy of massive armament. Look what the Arabs have done since Oslo. Would the world community, which has shown its contempt for Israel, condemn this? Would Israel be prepared to use military means against the nascent state to prevent this? With every concession, Israel digs itself into a deeper hole. It must recognize the fundamental truth: the conflict is not about land. It is the inacceptibility in Arab eyes, of a Jewish state in their midst. |
