What do you mean by failure to establish trust. Obama is like the rest of the Us presidents before him insisting that Israel return to the pre `67 borders. Thats untennable. Israel trusted then that the UN and the rest of the at least western powers would protect her from Nasser`s UAR and the rest of the arab League, but they didn`t. they pulled out the UN observers and the US did nothing to prevent the arab Leagues blockade and boycott. there is no way that Israel can now trust these powers. They are the same incompetents who lost Viet Nam, Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan,. Venezuaela, Peru, and Nicaragua, and ceded Taiwan to China. they can`t even manage their own economies, and they betray one another all the time. No way can nor will Israel evber relinquish its buffer zones again and `trus` the USA. The only thing to trust is in being betrayed. Obama said as much. Its US interest that comes first to the US (as it must for any nation).
