| Aluf Benn refers to "the land of Israel" in his article. I could not find the land of Israel on any map. He cannot be referring to Israel proper, since Jews already have the "right" to live anywhere in Israel. Presumably the land of Israel also includes the west bank. I wonder if it includes the Palestinian areas too, or is it just the current settlements. Does the land of Israel include any other areas outside the west bank? I have heard that some Israelis will make a case for putting settlements in any land that has been trod by a Jewish foot over the ages. I guess the real question for Aluf Benn is, are there any areas that are exempt from being included in the land of Israel. This is what comes from weak but well intentioned American politicians feeding the beast over the decades. The beast has developed a big appitite. |
