| Since Election Day and without let up, Netanyahu`s surrogates have demonized Obama. It`s all been mostly nice and anonymous, but the daily articles have probably registered even in The Obama White House. It is even likely that David Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel occasionally scan Haaretz and JPost. It`s kinda hard to miss the anti-Obama sentiment in both papers. Yea, we elected a black man who has a different point of view that his predecessor. That`s one of the reasons we elected him. But his public positions on Israel and Iran and the Palestinians and even Iraq are not that different than the public positions of his predecessor. Bush didn`t want Israel attacking Iran. Bush wanted two-states-for-two-peoples with a viable and contiguous Palestinian state. Bush negotiated the US out of Iraq by the end of 2011. Bush was promised by a Likud Prime Minister that there would be an end to settlements until a peace deal was made. Emmanuel and Axelrod aren`t dummies. |
