Physically, the barrier between Israel and the Palestinian land is both a wall and a fance. Here in the north it is a fence. Further south it is a concrete wall. However, its sole purpose is not security. Where it lies directly on the Green Line it is a security fence. Where it lies east of the Green line it is a means of usurping land and creates what we call the seamline zone - the area east of the green line and west of the barrier.
Calling it a security fence does not change anything. Calling roadblocks and checkpoints "crossings" does not change the fact they are on Palestinian territory. This use of jargon and inventing Orwell style terms is an attempt to alter facts. Those who look through it see the truth. |
