| your ability for twisting and skewing something said into something that was NOT, is nothing short of sensational! however, it`s not gonna be obama who leads israel into the next holocaust. for THAT you need to look closer at the israeli leadership and its deference to the settlers and the ill-conceived settlement "mistake" that the occupation enables. is it YOUR perception that israel exists in some sort of bubble? if so, you`re sorely mistaken; because it doesn`t! if you poke at an anthill long enough, sooner of later your`e gonna start getting bitten...unless of course you leave the area; which isn`t an option for israel. meanwhile, the arabs have offered israel acceptance, peace, and normalized relations, which undoubtedly would include trade and mutual cooperation; IF it "returns" the territories it occupies. which is NOT "land for peace"; it`s peace for the "return" of land...which is imperative to them for long term inclusion of their populations within the framework of peace with israel that they envision; unlike the "nominal" peace between governments that exists between egypt and israel. the choice is straight forward: either end the occupations that spawn the regional animosty towards israel and become an accepted regional partner with its neighbors; or stand fast and keep poking away at that anthill until the ants have had enough. p.s.-and don`t think israel`s nukes will stop the eventuality. and if israel responds to conventional forces with nuclear weapons; then IT becomes the "demon", and it`ll lose much more than the territories it illegally occupies. |
