| Anyway, the creation of Israel was pretty much assured the minute the Brits put Herbert Samuels in power circa 1920(?). Subsequent Palestinian resistance was finally crushed between 1936 and 1939 when the British Army and their protoge fighting force, Haganah, killed approx. 5,000(?).Tragic as the Shoah was, this trip, combined with lack of even a visit to Gaza, lack of saying stop the siege, lack of saying get back to 1967 borders - still only about 22% of pre-war Palestine - may well have been wrongly timed.It may say YOU keep paying for the Shoah;I need Yank votes. |
