I think what obama said is crystal clear : each side has responsabilities. israel needs to be accepted as a jewish state (though with other minorities), has the right to live in peace and security. No one should deny its existence or threat to destroy it. But it all that can only be accepted within the pre-1967 boundaries. Israel has NO RIGHT to build any settlement on the occupied territories, even if you call the "disputed territories". What is new in Obama`s speech is that an american President is telling Israel that simple truth eyes in eyes. Not with diplomatic gloves. And he`s saying the same thing to the arab world : recognise Israel, accept it as a jewish state, don`t deby the holocaust. I think Obama has done with that speech more than Bush did in 8 years.
