| I wish to draw your attention to the following: The New Yorker 7 July 2008 "Preparing the Battlefield" by Seymour Hersh. Congress agreed to a request from George Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military intelligence information and congressional sources. A Presidential Finding signed by Bush, disclosed his request for four hundred million dollars for the purpose of such covert activities designed to destabilize Iran`s religious leadership. http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/07/07/080707fa_fact_hersh Find it hard to believe, Lynne? What about America`s initial support for the Taliban and Al Qaeda against Russia in Afghanistan? What about the despicable manipulation of the Palestinian civil strife by USrael? Israel took turns in supporting, first Hamas then Fatah, taking full advantage of a people who have been suffering injustice for sixty years! |
