| I don`t want to quote the psalms, but this is all a prelude to the messianic upheavals. Even if all 300,000 settlers were to come back to Israel "proper", it doesn`t mean that there would be a Palestinian State. There just won`t be an Israel, w/out an united Jerusalem, return of refugees, etc. That`s the goal. Obama really is beginning to sound like the Pharoah who thought the Hebrews were becoming too numerous, which set off the Exodus from Egypt. Let him try, one cannot stop historical forces, but I am sure this will not lead to peace but to greater confrontations. Even Pakistan resents being pushed around by the Americans. Four detainees have already taken their lives at Guantanamo because the U.S. is not willing to repatriate them. Is he going to wait until all 100 grow to be old men, or take their lives? Is that peace? To slaughter civilians w/ drones, and gunmen by the thousands, is that peace? To pursue an agressive policy and to bully, is that peace? |
