In spite of all its talk about having made all the concessions towards peace (Look, we left Gaza didn`t we), israel has not seriously made any concessions at all. It retreated from Gaza because of a calculation that its occupation there was unsustainable and it wanted to concentrate its resources on securing the West Bank for Israel. Beyond that all it has done is build more settlements to surround Jerusalem so it can annex that too!
The nonsense about how it generously offered the Palestinians 97% of the West Bank won`t fly either since we all know the fine print that that offer came with.
What`s needed now is a new wave and Obama may be it. |
