| It makes one physically sick to encounter this monstrosity around Bethlehem. If one goes to Qalqilya, which used to be the breadbasket of Palestine, one will positively vomit at the sheer brutality of the Israeli landgrabbing. Here the wall has cut of the Palestinian farmers completely from their fertile farmlands and major water springs. The populations is emprisoned between the walls with only one narrow road in and out. It is stunning in its cruelty. I have rarely seen such a brazen act of colonialism. Yes, COLONIALISM. Israel is a settler state, built on the dispossession of its indigenous Palestinian population. It hopes that people won`t see the callous acts of stealing, dispossessing, ethnic cleansing. But we do and what we see is outrageous. |
