Religious Judaism has acuired a peaceful and sane reputation over the centuries of life as a small minority religion in the West, but that doesn`t mean it has always been like that or that it`ll always stay like that.
The Romans regarded religious Jews almost exactly as modern secular supporters of Israel now regard Hamas. They regarded them as homicidal, suicidal, faction-riven, religious nuts obsessed with a backward religion and incapable of settling down and creating a stable, peaceful, hard-working culture that enjoyed all the benefits of Western civilization and knowledge. |
