Now that we know what was obvious, that the Haredi and Traditional Jews will gradually become the majority in the Jewish State it reminds me of the last time they joined in a vote in the Knesset. It`s likely an indication of what they might do when they are in the majority, perhaps.
There was bill that called for closing down the the pornographic films on the teevee. You can still get the "skin films" if you wish, by going to the places where they sell them, and watch them at your leisure. The issue was that it was on the public teevee screen and it was available to audiences that might send inappropriate messages to younger people in spite of parental supervision. Heck, give a kid enough money, he or she can go to the same store and buy a "skin flick" on his own.
Apparently some secularists thought it was "religious coercion", while other secularists agreed that pornographic films on the teevee lack any redeeming value. We might get more of this, and other stuff, too. |
