Anyone who actually feels that settlements in general, and outposts in particular are a meaningful factor in the "peace" equation, is sadly mistaken. It took Israel less than a week to dismantle every single Jewish settlement in Gaza. (This naturally strengthened our enemies, and lead to even more terror in the form of missile attacks.) The fact is, the west bank Settlements could be removed with equal ease. The settlements are IRRELEVANT to the "peace" process. This of course begs the question as to why the focus has been placed on small insignificant hilltops, while ignoring the greater threat of the massively pervasive incitement in virtually all Palestinian schools. This is a verifiable fact, one that Abbas openly admits to. How can any peace be achieved when young Arab children are educated to hate & even kill Israeli Jews?
Forget the settlements, and focus on the real issues. |
