| Matchmakers are for desperate people. Perhaps this is a Jewish tradition to find your spouse via a matchmaker, I am dead against it. I am not fully known with orthodox Jewish life, so perhaps it is only normal for them to get hooked up to someone that someone else has found for them, their parents, or other relatives. Where does the word love enter these relationships? Seems to mee most orthodox marriages are arranged, very convenient to both families as in the old days where money was kept in the proper circles. To me it is very wrong, and I feel very sad for this young woman Aliza. I wish her good luck and hope and pray she will find a man that loves her and that she will find that man by her own accords. |
