Your logic is flawed. Divorce in Haredi circles is still not a topic worthy of discussion in the haredi press, let alone worthy of community sympathy or outreach. Em Habanim cant even get a rabbinnic endorsement or put an ad in a Haredi Paper!!! This ought to illustrate to you the deep deep stigma of getting divoreced in this circle, and this is probably the real reason why the divorce numbers are lower than secular numbers. A Haredi woman in a bad marriage will more likely remain in it, despite it being bad for her and her children. As the article mentioned,however, the numbers are increasing, and faster than in the secular community. So marrying young may indeed play a negative role in these numbers. You cannot rule that out. |
