| The parents are more concerned with the externals of the family. Where they live, how "chashuv" is the family, what Yeshiva the boy learns in, but not in how the boy treats others or a potential new bride. The whole thing has become a sad joke. Also the question is not how many divorces there are in the charedi world vs the secular world, but how happy are those marriages. |
