| This drill once more emphasises the Zionist belief that Israel is under a serious threat from Iran and it`s alleged proxys, Hezbollah and Hamas. This drill is part of the delegitimisation of Hamas and Hezbollah: "they are so bad, we shouldn`t talk with them". Of course, the real reason not to taLk to Hamas is to avoid starting a process that will lead to Israel coming under pressure to do doterritorial concessions. This is what Netanyahu wants to avoid at all costs. Therefore he wants to solve "the Iranian issue" first. This is simply a strategy to avoid concessions in the I-P conflict. The drill is designed to get more support for Netanyahu`s strategy. |
