| You are clearly unfamiliar with the `dating` procedure followed in the orthodox community. By the time the young people meet, the parents have made extensive background research and met with the opposite side - parents and proposed - themselves. Of course, in the watered-down versions of orthodoxy, where people are too `open-minded` to feel the need to follow traditional procedures, young people jump into dating themselves and the result can be quite harrowing. That said, there has been a deplorable increase in divorces, and the trend does not appear to be about to disappear, and anything that can be done to help both men and women in that situation is to be applauded. |
