The settlements in the occupied territories are illegal under international law. The settlements constitute an active attempt to engage in further acts of ethnic cleansing. The settlements make the achievement of a peace agreement with the Palestinians almost impossible. But somehow it is unfair to require the freezing of these settlements, which even the Bush administration referred to as unhelpful to the peace process. Ridiculous!
