Most Israelis are not "white". About half of Israeli Jews are of middle eastern origin, and 20% of the population are Palestinian Arabs. So only about 40% of Israelis are by definition "European", and even they are not considered "European" by many.
I hate getting into this, because I`m not big on concepts of "race" and "ethnicity", but the idea that Israelis are "white" is often used as propaganda by those that wish to portray Israelis are being foreign to the middle east. Perhaps you`re right that Israel portrays its citizens as being "white", but thats not even the case. |
