Reform conversions without tevillah, hatafat dam brit(for a male) and beit din are difficult to argue as fulfilling halacha for conversion. However - if a sincere ger undergoes the above, I think they should be accepted as Jews. Conservative Judaism will accept Reform conversion if they satisfy the above. And I understand that Orthodox will accept Conservative conversions under certain circumstances. Perhaps there is a chance that the Jewish family will learn to accept each other?
