If the US administration continues to insist that settlement activity stop,then the Netanyahu government cannot stay in power, as the right wing coalition partners will not allow the Prime Minister to make the concession demanded by the Americans. Livni is waiting in the wings. The vast majority of US Jews voted for Obama and would have supported Hillary Clinton if she had been the candidate. There should be no complaints from American supporters of Israel about the US policy, as there were many warnings of a radical shift in US policy by Obama before the election. |
