Hey, just noticed that everyone keeps linking liberalism with support for the PLO. There`s nothing liberal about supporting a terrorist death cult or the corruption state they`re trying to carve out of Israel. As a liberal and Democrat, I have to say that conservatives don`t have a monopoly on the reservations nor are their leaders free from the blame.

Granted Carter was and still is completely out of touch with reality on the issue, Bush Sr. was no friend of Israel and wasn`t it Bush Jr. who announced support for a Palestinian state? Did everyone forget Rice lecturing Sharon w/ "Now means now"? Do you think Sharon "disengaged" from Gaza without US pressure to do so? Did you forget Bush letting the US abstain (ie. not veto) UN SC resolutions?

Personally, I think Lieberman has the best idea on the table: a demilitarized Palestinian state where border disputes are settled by land swaps and aside from expected State Dept sewage, Obama is suggesting pretty much the same thing.
