| Conveniently, this article fails to balance the realities in Kashmir. While a large amount of Kashmiri Muslims favored independence, it was the tactic to sit back silently and allow Islamic Terrorists to commit genocide against Hindus in 1990 that seems to be forgotten. There was no "Kashmiriyat" when it came to sidelining a minority (Hindus) that preferred to stay with India. And the sad truth is that Kashmiri Muslims have the same attitude now, knowing full-well Hindus would be in danger if they came back permanently. That is like the Holocaust being forgotten by Germans, with Germans saying Jews should live with them even if Nazis were hypothetically still controlling afairs - insulting. So while I DO WELCOME this dialogue, make sure you discuss all facts and accept and fully understand the realities of the situations on top of finding common ground. Because in reality, it was a Kashmiri-militant group that attacked the Indian Parliament and that was behind the Mumbai attacks. |
